Our client sought to establish a Supplemental Needs Trust to be funded with proceeds from a personal injury settlement in order to maintain his eligibility for governmental benefits programs. The firm filed an Order to Show Cause in Nassau County Supreme Court requesting Court approval for the Trust. The Court found that our client met the statutory criteria for establishing such a Trust.
