JELLISA C. GRANT, ESQ
Jellisa C. Grant, Esq. is an Associate with The Law Offices of Seidner & Associates, P.C. Jellisa is a former Staff Attorney in the Family Defense Practice of The Bronx Defenders where she litigated countless Family Court matters. Jellisa is also a former Adjunct Professor for the Mainzer Family Defense Clinic at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
Jellisa received her J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law where she received the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence in Leadership Award. During law school, Jellisa served as the Executive Articles Editor of the CUNY Law Review and participated in the Family Law Practice Clinic where she represented parents in Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) Administrative Hearings. She was also a member of the CUNY Moot Court Team, served as Treasurer for the Black Law Students Association, and participated in the 2016 Delegation of the Mississippi Project. Jellisa spent her law school summers defending parents accused of abuse and neglect through her internships in the Family Defense Practices of Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem and The Bronx Defenders. During law school, Jellisa was also a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Jacqueline B. Deane in Kings County Family Court.
Prior to law school, she worked as a Program Assistant at the Center for Court Innovation’s Staten Island Youth Justice Center. Jellisa received her undergraduate degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, graduating magna cum laude and receiving the Howard Mann Humanitarian Award.
