Successfully represented through trial the legal guardian, an attorney, of his brother who was unable to stand trial in his divorce matter. Obtained a summary judgment ruling (against a former Supreme Court Justice) that the Ward’s separate property was not marital and not subject to equitable distribution by the wife who had already unlawfully obtained a default judgment against her husband which the firm also successfully had vacated.

Firm successfully obtained a large equitable distribution award and maintenance for a client after a contentious multi-day trial resulting in a 60 page decision. Husband attempted to argue that the parties were effectively divorced many years prior to the actual filing of a divorce action and that the wife, who raised the children in another state while the husband worked and lived in New York, was not entitled to an equal share of rental properties and other marital assets. Firm won equal distribution for the wife and an award of counsel fees from the husband as the Court ruled that the husband pressed forward for a trial without any basis in law thereby unnecessarily increasing legal fees for the wife.

Firm successfully negotiated and modified a father’s parenting time with his daughter thereby avoiding trial.

Firm successfully obtained a final Order of Protection on behalf of a father and his children against the mother who abused alcohol and engaged in violent and destructive behaviors while intoxicated.

Firm successfully persuaded ACS/CPS of New York County and Nassau County to drop charges against our client that were maliciously and falsely filed by the spouse and the spouse’s mother.

The Firm successfully obtained a stay and vacatur of a judgment of divorce obtained by fraud.

After extensive motion practice, our client received a large monetary award toward legal fees.

After successfully litigating a change in custody in favor of the father, our client was awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fee reimbursement as required in the separation agreement in the event either party violated the agreement.
