When someone has a family law matter, they want the best representation possible but often worry about the cost. At The Law Offices of Seidner & Associates, we work with our clients to give them the representation they need at a fair cost. While we cannot predict a final price, we can offer estimates that can give a client an idea of what they may ultimately be paying. We do everything possible to keep our costs as low as possible when working on a particular case for our clients.
One way we do this is to bill in 6 minute increments, or tenths of an hour. This ensures that we are not rounding up too far as many other attorneys round up to 1/4s hour hours (15 minutes). Our attorneys and paralegals keep extremely close track of the time worked on a particular case and only bill clients for time directly spent on their case.
The paralegals also help us keep costs down without sacrificing quality. Our experienced paralegals handle certain tasks at an hourly rate far less than an attorney. Junior attorneys may also be asked to handle aspects of your case instead of more experienced (and more expensive) senior counsel. All work is always reviewed by senior counsel.
If you are getting divorced, contact us for a case evaluation to determine if your spouse may have to lay out for your attorney’s fees. In New York, the less-monied spouse is generally entitled to up-front costs to pay for a divorce lawyer. If this situation applies to you, our attorneys will work to get this money to keep your costs as low as possible.
