Many-Day Trial Ends With Complete Victory For Our Client

After we successfully obtained temporary custody of the child for our client in 2012, the long-awaited trial came to a close yesterday with the Judge granting sole legal and physical custody to our client, the father. We presented four witnesses from two different schools to testify as to the child’s horrific academic and social performance while he was in the mother’s care, including her mother’s refusal to consent to necessary special education services as well as her presentation of false documentation to the school to alienate our client from his son. The Judge made a bench decision and awarded a visitation schedule to the mother that is much less than any typical schedule, only six hours a week. Indeed, it was much less than we were willing to settle for. The judge found the mother’s behavior abhorrent and the father’s to be consistently in the best interest of his son.
